An hour or a day or a week of solitude. What was the quality of your breath? The state of your mind? How did you get there?
The time after I drop my little guy off to school. He just started kindergarten this year. I had forgotten what it was like to just be by myself. I discovered in the first few days a new sense of energy. I’ve learned through the contrast of his absence that I do best when I have time to be completely by myself. I have more to offer in all I do when I’m given solitude.
